MST3K vs Gorgo

Tony Dunnigan March 7, 2023

Another drawing in the “MST3K vs Monsters” Series. Mike Nelson had an uncanny convey “Midwestern silted horror”. I hope I’ve captured some of that.

Jungle Cruise

Tony Dunnigan May 16, 2019

If you’re a fan of Disney’s Jungle Cruise, you should recognize this scene. In the park, the dangers are tongue and cheek. In this illustration, a passenger seems to have met a grizzly end. The boats are based on the African Queen — the same boat Disney based theirs on.

Godzilla vs King Kong

Tony Dunnigan March 2, 2019

I’ve been looking at a lot of older illustrations lately. I thought it would be fun to render a pop culture image that felt a few decades out of step with the illustration style.

Battle of Crait

Tony Dunnigan February 25, 2018

I was always a fan of the way Al Williamson would draw Star Wars spaceships for Marvel comics. All shadows and negative shapes.

Boggy Creek 2

Tony Dunnigan February 7, 2018

I ordered the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode "Boggy Creek 2" from Rifftrax. This episode didn't come with poster art, so I made my own.

RiffTrax Posters

Tony Dunnigan October 21, 2014

In 2014 I made a bunch of posters for some of RiffTrax's releases. These were mostly just fan art and me working out how to blend hand drawing with adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Obviously, I'm a huge fan of these guys (have been since MST3K.

Anyway, these were a lot of fun to do. I've set the publication date to roughly the time that I drew these.

Asguard

Tony Dunnigan November 17, 2012

This is my homage to the artwork of Jack Kirby. I tried to capture some of his spirt, without copying any of his amazing line work.

I've been lucky enough to run along some of the most beautiful trails in the world. I've seen the sun rise over Tokyo and the Milky Way stretch across the Leadville sky.

Like most runners I maintain a list of my personal bests.

  • 200 miles in 67:58

  • 100 miles in 22:59

  • 50 miles in 8:41

  • 50k in 4:42

  • In 12 hour I've run 64.5 miles

  • In 24 hour I've run 108.2 miles
